It took me about 20 minutes and that included me taking off my heat shield and drilling a hole in it. Then came the magic moment of starting it up to hear a quieter sound. Now I grant you I don't have the best hearing in the world but it actually sounded louder to me than it did before. I did take a video with my phone of it running before and after the install and when I play back the video on my phone, it believe it sounds louder with the silencer on it. It didn't help with the sound any. I even took it for a test drive down the road to see if maybe it was just the echo of noise in my shop. To me, it is just as loud as it was before I installed it. It was a total waste of money in my opinion. If anyone is contemplating buying one of these, please let me text you the two videos I made and you decide for yourself.
