I would love to be able to bring utility to the raid team in Dragonflight. I don't think a watered down elesham mastery for everyone else is the best choice, but it would be better than nothing. Alternately we could have some kind of boon of the elements which just gives a random raid buff from the pool so you can fill any missing slots. I have seen them dance arround the question repeatedly but it never lessened my concerns. I like how Ion brought up that not every class should be in on every fight then why did they give almost every class some piece of utility that guarentees that they are required on every fight? I also always love how it is being brought up by devs or players that having all buffs is not a requirement for anything outside of the top5 guilds. I can guarantee you that at least hunters and dks will always have a place in the raid. Hunters are just easy to play and do mechanics so people will always play them and dks have unique utility like amz and grip which will always be needed. I agree that Shaman especially Ele is more questionable but Enh had a guaranteed spot throughout Shadowlands because of windfury totem and Resto was always a solid raid healer with cds like spirit link totem. So I don't think those classes need a random 1 hour buff to be played. Please, WoWhead, if you do this kind of article for the Enhancer, just name it Why you shouldnt play Enhancement Shaman just dont. You missed the point. With more added raidbuffs and therefore more classes being a requirement, the room to bring tuning dependant classes got even smaller. If every class arround you gets buffed your class effectively gets worse and there already was very little reason to bring an ele shaman.

September 13, Elemental vs Enhanciment Hello Lordareon community. As the thread name suggests, i've decided to make an orc shaman once it releases. Well, although my main PVE spec will be restoration, i can't decide which dps one to take. Could you guys help me out?

I am trying to decide between elemental and enhancement to main as in dragon flight. Any thoughts from other shamans? All of the above. I am learning enhance. Seems super complicated in its rotation.
