As I strolled into the dealer, eager to explore their selection of vintage Rolex, a salesman working the floor began to approach, with a keen look in his eye, that is until he took notice of the Seiko around my wrist. If you are a long time reader of this blog then you may recall a post made in December of regarding a similar watch which I restored for my father. I actually had set out to do two watches- one for my dad and the other for my elder brother with the intention of having both ready by Christmas Eve. What you see is what you get and although the pieces will be well worn there are not a whole lot of unexpected surprises inside. Firstly, the A movement inside was manufactured in Japan as opposed to Singapore and this was clearly stated on the movement. Last, the rotating bezel was a combination of red and blue instead of black.
