Seafood your way! How do you want your shrimp today; grilled, fried, boiled, or bada-binged? All of our food is cooked to order; no food ever sits underneath heat lamps waiting on a server, as we do not have any. Items ordered from the grill will have a longer cook time than those that are steamed or fried, but most of our customers will agree that it does not take long for the delicious meals to arrive to their the table within a timely fashion. Our "Low Country Boil" is the most popular dinner on the menu. Fresh boiled shrimp, sausage made right here in Savannah by Rodger Wood, sweet corn, and red potatoes sprinkled with our very own blend of ShellHouse Seafood Seasoning is just a slice of heaven; however, just to keep it real for y'all because we love our customers, our items are NOT cooked in the same pot due to potential food allergies to seafood and our need to assure the safety of our customers allergic to shellfish is a top priority. Step out of the box and indulge in a "Snow Country Boil", this is the traditional Low Country Boil with a cluster of our Alaskan snow crab legs! Proudly, we can say that The ShellHouse Restaurant does receive product caught by one of the boats from that show. Snow crab stays on the menu year-round, thanks to tremendous amounts of pre-planning, price negotiations, our very own warehouse, and direct communication with fisherman regarding weather forecasts and predictions. Dungeness crab legs are market-priced due to the limited amount allotted to the crabbers and the demand around the world. Are you a guest in our Historic city?

The ShellHouse Restaurant is a locally family owned seafood restaurant conveniently located off I at exit 94 in Savannah, Georgia. This oasis was once served Georgia as its welcome center. Work was underway to transform the once hub of visitors into a place for visitors to grub; luckily with such a large close family and amazing friends this task was done rather swiftly. With sons, parents, aunt, uncles, cousins, and friends all working on September 24, the doors of this oasis were now The ShellHouse Restaurant. The items on our menu are traditional Southern South Georgia dishes that have been served in The Garrett and Davis Families for generations. Our kitchen managers have been entrusted with upholding the integrity of the all the delicious dishes and entrees that leave the kitchen. Our crab stew, gumbo, red rice, grits, potato salad, cole slaw, green beans, shrimp butter, cocktail sauce, ranch dressing and peach cobbler are made fresh every afternoon. We constantly monitor all of the food that comes into the restaurant.

The city of Savannah was built on a bluff above the Savannah River, just a few miles in from the Atlantic Ocean and, as a result, at the heart of an abundant coastal fishery. Wild Georgia shrimp are one of the finest local treasures—they also happen to be pretty common and pretty affordable, taking the starring role in such southern classics as low country boil and shrimp and grits. But however you want it: fried, baked, steamed, or grilled; you can get it at the humblest corner shack, the most agreeable dockside cafe, or the classiest French bistro.
