Use the Earth Drive as a clean boost to add warmth and smoothing, or turn up the drive knob and get a wide spectrum of overdrive harmonics and singing sustain. The Earth Drive has a huge range of boost control with its volume knob, while the tone knob helps you perfectly dial in the treble response. Whether you play bass, pedal-steel, electric piano, electric guitar, organ, whatever, the Earth Drive is quite possibly the most useful and versatile drive pedal you've ever heard. I haven't built it yet but it's interesting me. I will this weekend and report back. On GratefulEight trace that is p, while it's 10p in Manfred's redrawn schem. Just had a crack at this one but I'm getting nothing so far. Will have a better look tomorrow, but I can't see anything obvious on first inspection. I checked it again and noticed one more flaw. The 4n7 on the recovery input was tied to vref instead of ground. In my understanding that should not prevent the circuit from functioning. But i's fixed now. Try that? And maybe a probe to see where the signal dies?
Just had a crack at this one but I'm getting nothing so far. It may be my next "new favorite low-medium gain" dirt pedal. Log in.

One of the new key ingredients to our demo video sound is the marvelous Black Box from Sarno Music Solutions, a true audiophile quality, vacuum tube pickup driver that brings your tone to life. Volume, Drive and Tone knobs give you full control over the sounds this thing produces, with a wide range of options to play with and use. The Volume control gives you a ton of volume, too, perfect for driving any amp with ease. Hello Gearheads! As we fade into the uncharted territory that is the year …. Brad Sarno has been crafting studio quality effects for musicians for many years via Sarno Music Solutions. Sarno is building top notch circuits for a wide variety of musicians. His products range from system buffering solutions to beautiful tube preamps, circuits built for pedal-steel and of course overdrive and boost pedals for us Gearheads! The Earth Drive is both familiar and unfamiliar at the same exact time. The enclosure is a friendly green hue, but not quite the tender hue of many screaming tube circuits. Visually, simplistically and sonically. With just three knobs and one footswitch, the Earth Drive is quite formidable in reaching wide vasts of tone sculpting in any rig.

Anyway I originally had a pair of 1N's in the pedal that measured in the mid's on my tester. I'll state my disclaimer again here, ALL of the above sounded great in this pedal. Edited for clarity and auto-correction errors. Resources Latest reviews Search resources. DOD Overdrive Preamp It's a surprising pedal now i've got it boxed. I really enjoy this thread, thanks for starting it. I used to have one and really loved it, it was hard to keep a pricey box like that around during some lean times though. Close Save changes. I have no experience with the ED specifically but have used the Telonics pedal ahead of an overdriven tube amp and while I love the shimmering singing harmonics the amp gets with the Telonics So I'm looking forward to building the Tellurian now.
.
The first thing I noticed was it is built into the steel box that Fulltone uses. Can be seen in a pedalboard picture from a guitar magazine interview. Maxon OD Overdrive Not to me anyway. I haven't really done this with PSG since I bonded with the pedal on six-string. I am very happy with my choice and it makes an already great sounding pedal even better. The Tellurian has a thicker, warmer, perhaps a touch more colored gain than the Timmy or LightSpeed. Can't believe i did't catch that one myself when i double checked it.. I'm getting much more than that just past nine, though. Ibanez TS9 Tube Screamer I am collecting quite a posse of modded Timmys! It gives you that just right extra gain that is perfect for that just before break up sound without stamping it's foot print all over your guitar and amp. Horizon Devices Precision Drive Both pedals can cover a lot of ground in terms of gain. Is it possible to measure these tolerance variances with a multi meter while the components are in the PCB or do they need to be out on their own?
I am assured, what is it was already discussed.
Excuse for that I interfere At me a similar situation. I invite to discussion. Write here or in PM.
