Sandman fanart

Sandman fanart series takes viewers across the globe, to Hell, to the Dreaming, sandman fanart, and to many other fantastical realms via a combination of practical effects and CGI. The series has received rave reviews from critics and fans alike, but perhaps the best tribute to the series is the outpouring of fan art it has inspired.

So I had a chance to draw my favourite villain again after quite some time. This is a request from a friend, or I should call it fanart exchange. More than two months since the last post, yeah I'm still alive but a bit busy lately. I try to find some time to draw and here are a couple of them. What new fans might not know is that the first Sandman comic book was a collaboration between Gaiman and artist Sam Kieth , as well as inker Mike Dringenberg. After his brief run on Sandman , Kieth made his mark on comics as the architect of The Maxx , his creator-owned title that MTV developed as an animated series. Related: 10 Things From The Sandman Comics Netflix Changed Kieth's art and characters have appeared in a range of comics, and they often demonstrate the kind of intelligent storytelling and strange characters Gaiman's fans love. Even in a visual medium, comic artists don't always get their due credit as storytellers. Kieth's work always has a lot to offer for new readers. Kieth's art for Incredible Hulk established how he could handle a hugely popular character for Marvel. Kieth's rendering of a Hulk versus Mr. Hyde slugfest, written by Peter David and partially inked and colored by Kelly Jones and Glynis Oliver, showcased the hunched backs and overdeveloped muscles that future readers of The Maxx would come to cherish. After proving himself to Marvel's editors, Kieth began a long tenure as a cover artist on Marvel Comics Presents , drawing 40 covers for that title. Fans who already know Maxx's story and want more should track down Friends of Maxx.

The following contains mild spoilers for The Sandman Season 1, now streaming on Netflix. The Sandman was only recently released on Netflix, but artists are already putting their pencils, paints and other materials to work capturing the show. One piece caught the attention of author Neil Gaiman, whose comic books are the source material for the show. Gaiman retweeted a video of an artist using sand to immortalize Dream -- also known as the Sandman -- in sand art. In the short clip, artist fallinginsand builds upon layers and layers of sand to create an eerie likeness of Tom Sturridge's Dream. The end result is a black and white depiction of Dream with the show's title and Netflix logo included along the bottom. The work prompted this short response from Gaiman: "Unbelievable. The Netflix adaptation is based on Gaiman's comic book series The Sandman.
