I literally broke a sweat trying to zip them and was not successful. I gave them a second chance though. Overall, however, I would say this boot is a complete failure. I wore these boots twice in snow, and they never looked or felt wet or cold, and did not stain like lesser quality leathers. I purchased the black in size 8. This is a good value overall.
