That is the only word that comes to mind when I look at this. Ocarina of Time on the Sages oot is the game that made me a Zelda fan and this image captures why I love that game and this series so much! Fantastic work, sages oot.

Having already obtained the Kokiri's Emerald , the first of three Spiritual Stones needed to open the door to the Sacred Realm , Zelda convinces Link to search for the other two, as she believes the Gerudo thief Ganondorf, who is pledging alliance to her father, the King of Hyrule , to be a great evil who seeks to rule Hyrule. The two agree to obtain all three stones and open the Door of Time by playing the Ocarina of Time in the Temple of Time , and beat Ganondorf to the Triforce hidden within. Upon obtaining the final stone, Link travels to Hyrule Castle only to discover Zelda escaping from the castle with her nursemaid Impa.

This puts them among the most important of its heroes ' allies, however rarely without price. The Sages often only take on these roles upon being "awakened" during a time that they are required, their role predetermined through a spiritual lineage or bloodline connecting them to a past Sage.

Sage Medallions are a group of Items in Ocarina of Time. The Sage Medallions represent the awakening and power of their respective Sages. Link obtains each of them after awakening a new Sage , whose powers are symbolically added to those of Link. Each Sage Medallion bears the emblem and color of its respective element, and has the Triforce emblazoned on its back. Modified versions of the fire and water emblems appear underneath Koume and Kotake when they manifest before Link in the Spirit Temple. The fire symbol faces to the left rather than the right, while the water symbol has eight points rather than six.

Each Sage stands on a dais along the edge of the central platform, in the middle of which is a triangular space where Link stands when meeting with the Sages. In Ocarina of Time , the chamber is filled with fountains, up from each of which a beam of light shines, except for the large one in the middle, which depicts the Triforce surrounded by the six Sage Medallions. Link stands in the empty space of the Triforce image while each Sage stands on the image of the Medallion they give to him. In A Link Between Worlds , the chamber has been redesigned into an all-stone platform in a void illuminated by various auroras. Gone are the fountains in the background, and both the flowing water around the central platform, and the Triforce image in the middle, have been replaced with an ornate design with a lone triangle in the middle.
