I have been eagerly watching the progression of this epicurean endeavor on social media for the past year, so I was thrilled when my family was recently invited to try a limited menu and check out their new digs. Now I am even more excited for their grand opening scheduled for May 10th, Rumour is now occupying the space where the iconic Elbow Room was located on Stephens Ave. The exterior of the building features rough hewn timber boards, accented with local rock and corrugated metal siding, which allows a lovely balance of texture and depth, and a strong presence from the street. Walking inside, I knew immediately a lot of thought and care went into all of the details. The restaurant is divided into several spaces so to accommodate intimate parties, larger gatherings and general patron seating. The cohesive use of various materials such as rich yet supple leather, oversized contemporary chairs, reclaimed barn wood and sturdy accessories pull everything together into a warm and inviting environment. The stamped concrete floor adds additional flavor to the overall ambience of the interior. Attention to detail can be found outside as well and once the weather warms up a bit will be a perfect place to relax.

I rented a space at Rumour for my small wedding and it was absolutely perfect! The owners and employees were a delight to work with, easy to schedule with and very nice.
