Around 81 per cent of user reports on DownDetector said the online service which allows users to track the status of their deliveries was down yesterday. The Royal Mail's website told customers of the issues, saying: 'We're sorry our service is temporarily unavailable. We are working on fixing the problem. Deliveries are taking place as normal. The buyer contacted me to say that the package hasn't arrived yet. When I checked the tracking, the only update is that it was collected on 20th November. No further updates since then. I've searched Royal Mail's website, but all I can find is how to put in a claim if it doesn't arrive by a specified date. I tried to call RM but the wait time was over 1 hour! Does anyone know if there's a way of raising an issue with RM like you can do with Evri to ask them to investigate the missing package? You may find if you call at a different time the wait may be less but it's worth persevering with as the RM have access to tracking and will be to tell you exactly where or what's happened to the parcel. The tracking number only updates on the system when the item is delivered but the RM will be able to check it in detail for you, I know this as i've just had a lost parcel myself.
