Town staff assessed the project corridor and grant requirement and prepared the grant application in CDOT committed to funding the project in June Throughout the design process in and , project development was communicated via public meetings, neighborhood meetings, letters, and Town Council meetings. Corridor improvements consist of: drainage, sidewalk, curb, traffic signals as well as resurfacing and adding dedicated bike lanes. Robbins Avenue between Main and Willard will consist of a bike lane in both directions, one vehicle travel lane in both directions, and a two way left turn lane for access to driveways and local roads similar to John Downey Drive in New Britain. The path between Vivian and Maple Hill will be reconstructed. Funding is provided by CDOT. We anticipate bidding the project in summer with construction starting in Fall and finishing in Spring The Town prepared preliminary design drawings.
