This is the perfect way to spend a holiday with kids. This time for a two-week cruise around the Mediterranean. And we had been counting down the days for the voyage to begin. We are total cruise converts, really believing that cruises are perfect for families. To read more please see my Disclosure Policy. As a family of five, we had two cabins a maximum of four people can be registered to any room. And we took a superior balcony room and an inside cabin. This is a great way for a larger family to travel. We primarily spent time in the balcony room but liked having the additional space of the inside cabin. While we were at dinner in the evening this would be transformed into a sleeping area for the children. And the bathroom was a really great size with a bath, shower over it and lovely White Company products. In addition, there was a dressing area with wardrobe space and drawers.
I think this was my favourite meal of our time on board. Search for:.
Hit five stars for activities and excursions but didn't use them. Excellent value for money cruise. Staff onboard were very good. Cabins kept clean by friendly staff. Food onboard was consistently good and well cooked. This ship caters for the British market and this is reflected in the menus on offer.
It starts with a tour of our Inside cabin followed by a full tour of the ship. We parked our car with CPS and then made our way in to Mayflower terminal. It was really busy, mostly standing room only but within 15 minutes we were on our way to check-in, security was straightforward and I would say we were on the ship within 30 minutes of arriving which is better than we had expected being so early. We had booked the lowest grade inside as a guarantee and ended up getting upgraded to B which was great! When I say upgraded I mean within the same grade, so it was a better inside as it was more mid ship and lower. The cabin itself felt more specious than expected, came with the usual free bottles of water and tea and coffee making facilities.

The ship was built in , has 1, cabins, and can hold up to 3, passengers. However, this number may be exceeded during high season when three or four people share one cabin. The ship has 14 decks and a crew of 1, Several pools and jacuzzies are scattered about the sun decks, and lounge chairs are arranged on the promenade deck and lido decks. IONA is a very new and beautiful ship. She has only been in service for two years.

In addition to this, there were some options you could pay a little extra for. We were allocated a great table at The Oriental but no Sommelier so the poor waiting staff are stressed out trying to get the hot food and cope with taking drinks orders which is Traveled with disabled person. The room also had a bathroom with a shower and the same White Company products and a dressing area. Fantastic ship, lovely cabins and good facilities.
Great to be back Cruising again by PhilPering. Azura and her crew did not disappoint us in any way.
MY cabin was in need of updating and cabin staff just seem stressed and miserable. Embarkation superb; atrium pathetically underwhelming; cabin spotless and stewardess excellent; ship tired and has the feel of being past it's sell by date; In-house shows very professional; singers average; comedians pretty dire and smutty the two go together ,and in the main not funny; cost cutting everywhere, flogging you stuff at every opportunity; food average only; tea and coffee dire not All great. Choice in buffet restaurant excellent. Really enjoyed reading this and got me in the mood for our 2nd trip on Azura. Excellent value for money cruise. Cabins kept clean by friendly staff. We really did have a great time with no problems; total satisfaction and will definitely do another cruise and purchase through Iglu Cruises. And i never wanted to go on a cruise! The food was delicious. Entered service. Aurora Cruise Reviews.
