This summer I bought retro bike light Schwinn Varsity from a garage sale for a project bike. As I was installing the front derailleur, the pinch bolt that holds the cable broke. I just left the front derailleur off and after riding it around a while, retro bike light, decided I wouldn't miss it. I like the look of the Schwinn twin stik shifters and thought it would be cool to get an old bullet style chrome bike light and make the unused shifter the switch for the light!

Not sure where to post this as whilst I'm looking for modern lights, they will be used on retro steeds.
My partner just started riding to work and with the nights closing in I want to get her some lights. The bike she has bought is a Bobbin, and she has hinted she wants the lights to look in-keeping with the bike. But is removable and rechargeable. The bobbin one looks like it stays on the bike and takes 3xAAA. Decent ones are plenty bright enough, look like that, and no need for faffing with charging. Just buy some rechargeable AAA batteries and a battery charger? You could then carry spare batteries too.
