Remote desktop ultrawide monitor
My task is to replace our dual monitor setups with a single, large display. What I would like to do is be able to split the screen up as 2 or 3, but still have that full screen look remote desktop ultrawide monitor RDP on one of the split screens.

RDP should not be dependant on the resolution of the remote desktop, it is it's own display device on the remote computer so by default will be rendered by the remote computer at your local computers resolution. This is because you don't normally take over the actual remote desktop but create a separate one. Was this reply helpful?

Connect and share knowledge within a single location that is structured and easy to search. I want to use the x monitor for a fullscreen RDP session this is where I do my main work. The problem is that the RDP "fullscreen" resolution seems to be limited to the resolution of the monitor that I configured as my primary screen. No problem, I thought, and configured my bigger screen as primary. But the problem with this setup is that the fullscreen RDP session hides my taskbar, and I miss email and skype notifications.
I saw this over on the Microsoft Remote Desktop Uservoice. Allow ability to select a subset of current monitors with full screen. Currently can choose all or 1 but cannot choose for instance 2 of 3 full screen. That seems useful, I wish it did that. I know about this checkbox that says "Use all my monitors" but I can't say just use 1 and 2 but not 3, right?

Sorry this didn't help. I have an Asus laptop with a wide screen running Windows 7 and I frequently log into my office computer with a standard display that is also running Windows 7. Welcome to the Snap! You may need an identification of the signal source in order to know your target for RDP and should give what you intend.

I am feeling a little jealous No, the last 2 settings are x and fullscreen. Search titles only. You need a software component catalog. I WANT my work computer to fill the screen of my home computer, but in a usable way.
