But they also have a knockback which triggers them to evade.

Yeah, it's definitely there, but you can avoid it if you back into the small archway walls when you fight them, they still punt you but not enough to evade bug. Most important part is keeping your back against a wall or something so you dont move far when you get punted I have yet to need to use any "Ohcrap" buttons. Comment by Smiff Very soloadble by almost any ret pally, all i did to avoid evades was try to keep them in the intial spot where you entered combat, i was able to complete the quest at 79 with s gear. Going to be grinding these because of the income gained from just looting them. I know what ill be grinding in the near future ;P. It is just a matter of time before they die.
