It was a heartwarming show of support this past week, as volunteers from Purolator, Food for Life and The Salvation Army food banks in Milton collected 3, pounds of donated food and delivered it to the food banks. This was the third year in a row Purolator Tackle Hunger ran a Red Bag campaign in Milton, bringing the total amount raised for local Milton food banks to over 6, pounds of food to date. Last year, we increased it to bags, and this year, we took it to the next level by dropping off 2, bags with a team of volunteers. When I see a red bag filled with food on the doorstep, it warms my heart to know that another family will have food on their table, thanks to our efforts and the support of our community.
