Porco has always blamed Reiner for snatching the Armored Titan and being on the mission during which Marcel was killed, and this new memory finally set Porco at ease. During Porco's fight with Eren, Galliard had his Titan's nape crushed, obliterating Porco's skull beyond even Titan repair, so Porco was going to die one way or the other. As a child and promising Warrior candidate beloved by them all, even the angry and distant Porco had no compunction about giving up his already-doomed life to save Falco.
