If players are having a hard time gathering regular Polymer in ARK: Survival Evolvedthey should consider trying to obtain some Organic Polymer as well, polyester ark.
Organic Polymer is a naturally obtained resource that can be used as a direct substitute of Polymer for the purposes of crafting. It can be harvested by killing Kairuku , Mantis , Hesperornis and Karkinos. It can also be acquired as a loot drop from Deathworm and by gathering from specific plants on Aberration. It spoils in thirty minutes. With the addition of the Achatina to the tamable creatures, you can harvest Organic Polymer from the tamed beast along with Cementing Paste. While the Organic Polymer is left in the Achatina its spoil time is increased to 1hr 30mins. You can replace Organic Polymer into the Achatina after being removed.

Killing Crabs on Aberration will give you loads of organic polymer. If you use a high melee, organic poly specialty Moschops you'll get even more. The trick is to whistle the Moschop to harvest the corpse. It's efficiency, if ridden, is extremely nerfed. Ragnarok has easier access to cementing paste than the island so that would probably be your best map. Finally, the corrupted nodules you get from killing corrupt creatures on Extinction act as organic polymer so running a yellow or red drop with a decent Giga will give you a lot of those too. As soon as I can stand the cold, I kill penguins for organic poly since I'm collecting meat at the same time.
