With recent patches, Bow builds like Elemental Tornado Shot have become a lot stronger on affordable gear levels to the extent that it can even be efficiently played as a first character in a fresh league! In this build guide, we showcase a Tornado Shot Deadeye Build on a moderate budget that shines with excellent clear speed and high damage output without neglecting defensive capabilities to create a very smooth and pleasant mapping experience. The guide also explains the progression to the final build in multiple steps and gives advice on how to invest to improve the character beyond the budget of this build. While we have intentionally forgone using expensive items like Crystallised Omniscience or Mageblood to keep the build affordable, Tornado Shot is a skill that will feel exponentially better with higher investment into stronger gear. For a much lower budget yet similar playstyle, I recommend a Lightning Arrow Deadeye Build that can work as a perfect stepping stone before converting the character into this Tornado Shot build. Tornado Shot offers a very satisfying play style that allows us to concentrate our damage output on a single enemy by aiming our primary projectiles right behind them while letting the many secondary projectiles take care of clearing a large area in all directions, even reaching far off-screen with enough investment into Projectile Speed.

It's considered a very high-budget end-game farming build that in most cases uses the Headhunter Belt to gain additional bonuses by quickly killing Rare enemies, but the following Guide doesn't revolve around it. We decided not to use any expensive Uniques, and limit the budget of this build by not going to use a very expensive Crafted Bow and stack Dexterity, but rather use easy-to-obtain common gear - mainly centered around high Elemental DPS Rare Bow that should be relatively easy to craft using Essences. Using Crystallised Omniscience or stacking Attributes is extremely expensive in the long run, which does not align with the purpose of this build. This build is also extremely flexible. Players can freely choose between going either a full glass cannon it requires kiting experience or keeping a balance between offense and defense. Keep in mind that if you can't stay alive the build loses its' purpose - it's meant to be extremely fast. We would like to also invite you to check the full list of our Path of Exile's Crafty guides that can be found here: Odealo's Crafty Guides - Full List. This build is very straightforward. Tornado Shot Deadeye is a ranged DPS class, that deals massive damage, and requires the player to kite and avoid enemy attacks. In order to be fully viable certain defensive mechanics have to be put to work, otherwise, you won't be able to fully utilize this class's potential. Odealo is a trading platform for MMO players. Leveling as a Ranger is of the easiest kind. It usually is more than enough to upgrade your gear with the self-found items, and the build itself provides a great balance between offense and defense.
Jewel Lioneye's Fall - You can grammarlookup it near Infused Notable and allocate Claw and Dagger nodes nearby - you can even go for the extremely good Masteries in these Clusters. Herald of Ice - adds moderate DPS buff, as well as it's one of the recommended endgame Spells so you might want to start leveling it poe tornado shot starter early. Bandits: Kill all.

Path of Building for the Magic Find setup of the build is available here. Included is the recommended set of gear, a full skill tree, and all the gem links needed to get the build to tick. We use the Path of Building Community Fork for all of our builds, which is highly recommended. If you are encountering errors importing the build, please ensure you are using the Community Fork. With this build in particular, there are some noteworthy differences between the trees.

This Gem here can save you some money for the Boots' affix. Doomfletch - another recommended unique bow. Defensive Mechanics While this build mostly avoids taking damage because of its long-range clear and high damage output, we opt to set up a few efficient defensive layers that do not compromise our investment into offence too much. Stormcloud - the first unique bow we suggest using, available from level 8. Precision - adds Accuracy and increases Critical Strike Chance. I'm not super familiar with TS but I thought the majority of the damage comes from the secondary projectiles, if only the primary shot are returned it may not be as broken as I hope it is lol. For explicit modifiers though, the obvious winner is Weapon Attacks fire 2 additional Projectiles if you've been Hit Recently It's quite expensive but if you get your hands on one, to receive the benefit you're gonna have to hit yourself, this can be automated with the manaforged arrow cast on crit setup linked with forbidden rite. Assassin's Mark - the recommended curse option for this build. The primary projectiles behave like almost every other projectile skill in the game, where each enemy can only be hit once per attack even if we have additional arrows that physically pass by the enemy. Projectile Speed also increases the travel speed of the primary projectile, reducing the delay between attacking and creating the secondary projectiles making the playstyle smoother and more responsive. Reducing the Mana Cost of your Tornado Shot here makes this build much smoother to play, and removes the necessity of using a Mana Flask, but the additional chance for Critical Strike results in much more damage. I can't believe one day I can league-start with TS lol. Forum Index » Ranger » View Thread.

Most of these make our build significantly worse for mapping, so only consider these when you are focussing on endgame bosses. If you prefer to use Tornado Shot as early as level 28, you can stick to the same walkthrough below and simply change the Rain of Arrows gem setup to. We choose to scale our damage with added Elemental Damage because it is more cost-efficient than relying on a strong Physical Damage Bow, although building the character with Physical Damage and converting to Elemental Damage is often preferred on very expensive versions of Tornado Shot. To best utilize this spectre, you need to increase it's level the gem level as much as possible, both to gain a more potent wrath aura from it and also to increase it's survivability. Note that you don't need duplicate of some of these modifiers, like blind on hit and power charge on crit, so if you get it once, you can remove it from your search. On top of the usual levelling uniques that grant Movement Speed, most unique items that grant flat Elemental Damage are very good for us, for example, Prismweave , Tasalio's Sign , Lioneye's Paws and Wake of Destruction. Projectile Speed also increases the travel speed of the primary projectile, reducing the delay between attacking and creating the secondary projectiles making the playstyle smoother and more responsive. This build is also extremely flexible. Tornado Shot Ranger is an extremely flexible build. Many Buffs!
