PUBG is an immensely popular game across the world, but sadly, the game has been banned in India. From January, the 16 teams will battle it out over 24 rounds. At the end of 24 rounds, teams are given points based on their standings. Sports and writing are a few of my passions! The tournament featured 24 teams from all over the world and was held online for the League Stage and held semi-offline for the Grand Finals in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The total number of participating teams have been increased from the previous season from 24 to 40 ; in which the League Stage was split into Eastern and Western divisions and held fully online, ultimately seeding into a team Grand Finals held in Singapore where the qualified teams travelled to minimize ping. Nova Esports once again emerged as the grand champion for PMGC , making them holding the championship title for 2 consecutive years. PMGC introduced a brand new overall league format and featured an enormous total of 50 teams participating 48 teams league and 2 teams directly invited Grand Finals. As for the Grand Finals, it was held as an open-offline event in Jakarta, Indonesia from January 6th - 8th, The Grand Finals is held in Istanbul, Turkiye on December 8th - 10th and 14 qualified teams from the League Stage are joined with 2 specially invited teams. The official Twitter handle of PUBG Mobile Esports released the entire roadmap for this event with detailed dates, teams and prize pool format. The tournament will commence on 24th November and will for almost a complete month to end on 20th December. A total of 24 teams are drawn into three groups and they will battle out for two Weekdays to get a chance at qualifying for the Super Weekend. For those whoa re not familiar with this format, Weekdays will see all the teams competing against each other and the final top 16 teams will qualify for the Super Weekend. This League stage will run for four weeks and hence, each team will have four chances to make it to the top 16 and gather the essential points. Also, it is important to note that only the points earnt during Super Weekend Stage will be considered into the final calculation and hence no teams can afford to skip even a single weekend.
