He has a great deal of recovery from his own CPTSD, and his professional approach is highly enriched by his own forty-year journey of recovering. Pete's articles on a multi-modal approach to treating CPTSD have been published in a number of therapy magazines and websites. His therapeutic approach is eclectic and Relational Intersubjective. He guides the therapeutic process with values that include empathy, vulnerability, authenticity, and mutuality. I don't know if it's easily accessible to people without a background in therapy or mindfulness, but it will send you a long way to being able to self-soothe, and to understand and reduce your trauma reactions. His therapeutic approach is eclectic and Relational [Intersubjective]. This is definitely a layman's book and thank god, it's free from the endless anecdotes that infest most popular "self help" or psychology books that populate the ranks of Amazon best sellers.

Do we live lives authentic to ourselves or do we copying and pasting society idea of how a life should be lived. Walker might agree.
