Pathfinder wrath of the righteous shifter

Version: 1. Assuming a minor form is a swift action and ending it is a free action. Assuming a major form is a standard action.

Dragonblood shifters draw upon the inherent strength and majesty of the true dragons, gaining a measure of their powers from their association. A dragonblood shifter can temporarily imbue her body with draconic majesty as a swift action. When activating this ability, the dragonblood shifter must select one of the chromatic or metallic dragon types. Her draconic aspect abilities grant resistances and deal a type of damage based on the chosen dragon type. While shifted into this form, she gains the scent ability and energy resistance 5 against the energy type that corresponds to her selected dragon type; also, whenever she prevents damage with either the resistance or the immunity provided by her draconic aspect ability, she heals a number of hit points equal to the amount of damage prevented. The duration does not need to be consecutive, but it must be spent in 1-minute increments.

Pathfinder wrath of the righteous shifter

Shifter is a class in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. Whether riding on the wind as a falcon or hiding in some fetid bog waiting to strike, the shifter is a true master of the wild. Both a devoted defender of druidic circles and a fierce predator, the shifter can take on the forms of nature and even fuse them together with devastating effect and unbridled savagery. Shifters are protectors of druidic circles and avengers of nature, yet a shifter's magic is different from that of her druidic kin. Rather than invoking spells from the natural world or forging alliances with animals, shifters focus their supernatural powers inward to gain control over their own forms. Their ability to change their forms is as varied as the wonders of the wilds themselves but always remains at least partially rooted in the natural world. There are many paths to becoming a shifter; most are trained in that role by druidic circles and have their powers unlocked via rituals of initiation. Yet some stumble upon the gift naturally, as if their blood bore the secrets of shifter transformation. Role : The shifter class offers players a way to experience a shapeshifting character that is more martially inclined than a spellcasting druid. With each new level, the shifter's powers grow in new and surprising ways, creating a character that thrives in battle, exploration, and stealth. At will, a shifter in her natural form can extend her claws as a swift action to use as a weapon. The claws on each hand can be used as a primary natural attack , dealing 1d4 points of piercing and slashing damage 1d3 if she is Small. While a shifter uses wild shape to assume her aspect's major form, her primary natural attacks gain the same benefits granted by her shifter claws ability. She can use either the base damage of her shifter claws or the damage of the form's primary attacks, whichever is greater.

No archetypes, but my GM agreed with me that the class is massively underpowered, so he made a house rule that allows my character to learn a new Aspect every level. Lost Password Please enter your username or email address.

The shifter class had better BAB but was worse and overly hampered. I play in a PbP on these forums with a shifter no archetype. I asked her what she thought of the class, and this was her reply:. I really like it, actually. I'm not sure how many of them you could play, though.

The Shifter class offers players a way to experience a shapeshifting character that is more martially inclined than a spellcasting druid. They are humanoids with a bestial aspect; while they cannot fully change shape they can temporarily enhance their animalistic features — a state they call shifting. Whatever their origins, shifters have evolved into a unique race. Do they embrace their primal instincts or the path of civilization? Shifters are protectors of druidic circles and avengers of nature, yet a shifter's magic is different from that of her druidic kin.

Feyform Shifters employ a vast arsenal of handmade potions, extracts, elixirs, and even bombs. A Feyform Shifter can learn spells like a Wizard and prepare them as extracts. At 9th level, a feyform shifter gains a second shifter aspect, chosen from the animal aspects normally available to shifters. When she uses her shifter aspect ability to take on her fey aspect, she can choose a second aspect and assume the minor form of that aspect, alongside her fey aspect, allowing her to combine her fey aspect with the animal aspects available to her. This modifies chimeric aspect. At 20th level, a feyform shifter gains access to a fourth aspect. When she uses shifter aspect, she can assume the minor forms of all her aspects in addition to her fey aspect, and she can use her major and minor forms at will. A feyform shifter can take on a First World aspect and assume fey traits as a swift action.

At 10th level, the Rageshaper grows two size categories larger and his rage is treated as Greater Rage. The Dragonblood Shifter is a relatively weak archetype since it peaks at 14th level with Dragonkind II. He also gains 25 spell resistance. While a shifter uses wild shape to assume her aspect's major form, her primary natural attacks gain the same benefits granted by her shifter claws ability. I highly recommend using that if you're planning to play a Shifter. Dragonblood Shifter is honestly one of the worst archetypes in the game. Thanks for the feedback! For me this switch's the focus more on my Team and I feel the need of adding more options to them instead of the MC, but overall Shifter is strong. I haven't yet, but my husband is currently playing a shifter of the Dragon based archetype. Could be better, but still workable and enjoyable.

It comes with Fey Aspects and damage reduction that protects against almost all weapons and increases as you level up.

Critizising the progression in general is ver valid, though. Some of the styles work with natural attacks Crane Style for defense, Monkey Style for offense , so it's not unplayable. If you already have Season Pass 2, it will unlock automatically on release day. At 9th level, when a shifter uses her shifter aspect ability to take on a minor form, she can choose two aspects and assume the minor form of each aspect. Turning into a fey is not actually that good - sure, you can get five primary natural attacks and flight at fourth level, but so can a falcon aspect Weretouched Shifter, and that one has ten times the duration. There was no previous, stronger version of the class, so the term doesn't apply. From 4th level, a Weretouched can transform fully into one of several Werebeasts as a swift action. Basics Shared. Maybe some other minor thing on top? You get to use the major form as much as you want at level 20, but the minor aspect that let's you absorb an element is still limited in use, might be a bug.
