Pakayak were a lot of fun but for our kayak camping trips in remote locations we were looking for something a bit more robust. Probably less than a pakayak after we returned pakayak Oru Kayaks we both purchased the Pakayak thinking it would hold up better over the long run. This was a really long wait and about a week into it we were honestly really missing our Oru Kayaks, pakayak, pakayak. So why is a Pakayak so cool?

Less than ten minutes later, I was offshore, cutting through the water in a shiny foot kayak. It does not feel tippy, and I felt confident just sitting idle in it. As the morning fog started to clear and the south end of Catalina Island was illuminated by the sun, I was momentarily tempted to see if I could reach it by Pakayak. A very well thought out design. The Oru utilizes a slick, origami-inspired assembly. I would feel comfortable taking the Bluefin into Class 1 or Class 2 rapids, but I wouldn't push it further unless I was committed to getting wet. A completely rigid exterior gave us supreme confidence to conquer any submerged items like drowned bushes and rocky coasts. This boat has ample legroom inside the cockpit, with fully adjustable footpegs located at just the right height on either side of the interior. If you want to go long distances with your kayak in tow, the Bluefin will not give you a comfortable or lightweight journey.
