We take this responsibility very seriously, and follow a multistep process to help ensure that the right Dane meets the perfect family. Sorry, we rarely adopt to applicants who rent.

Thank you so much for considering adding a rescue Dane to your home. Before you begin the process to adopt, I would like to give you some information about the process which can take up to a month to complete. We do very careful screening of our adopters. Great Danes are not for everyone, rescue is not for everyone, and many people do not have the patience for the time it takes to apply to adopt. Please know that we are all volunteers with families and full time jobs, so it can take up to a month to get thru the process.

I am a mother of two, who help with every foster I have in my house. I am also a full time Vet Tech. We have personal Danes, and an Irish Wolfhound honorary dane , they are the gems of our household. The kids and my lives completely revolve around our animals. There are 7of us on the Board but countless other help get these babies into homes! I am a mother of two and a full time postal worker. I have my big blue girl who started this journey for us. The first we have ever adopted. My sister Terri and I took the rescue over late Our entire lives we have had Danes. We are now doing everything we can to make sure every one can enjoy these dogs. Saving lives one Dane at a time! I am mom of two adult children. My passion is my animals. This all started for me with a trip to the vet, enquiring about a puppy, when Terri asked have you thought about a Great Dane.

Why not consider an older Dane or even a special needs Dane? I am the mother of two adult children and 3 Grandchildren.

In our case, the pets are Great Danes and mixed Dane dogs, and the people are those who have or want the companionship of the breed or, often, just dogs in general. All of the dogs that come through our rescue program are spayed or neutered and fully vetted before being adopted. Gram is a scared but sweet boy, weighing 87 pounds and we think he is about 3 years old. The pictures say more than words. In two short weeks Gram has gained about 10 lbs.
