Amid constant, seething tides of battle and bloodshed, burgeoning Ork stellar empires rise and fall. Mercifully most are short-lived, soon destroying themselves in a maelstrom of violence and internecine conflict, but should the Orks ever truly unify, they would crush all opposition. Orks generate a potent psychic gestalt field that allows them to accomplish many feats of technological engineering that might otherwise seem impossible. At the same time, the power of this psychic field is directly proportional to the number of Greenskins present in a given location. The more Orks that gather, the more Orks are drawn to them, at the same time that the power and intelligence of the Greenskins begins to grow with their numbers. The Orks' unquenchable thirst for battle has always proved their downfall: historically, the Ork tribes have spent much of their time fighting amongst themselves, waging brutal wars with only the strongest surviving. The Blood Axes use camouflage and approach fights with actual tactics, even if to other Orks this appears perverted and un-Orky, as well as having a much more subdued and methodical fighting style that make the other clans consider them culturally contaminated by them stinkin' humies. Known throughout the Imperium of Man and beyond, the Orks of Warhammer: 40K are a brutal, darkly comedic, and warlike race that prowls the galaxy, fighting anyone and even themselves in brutal, genocidal conflict. There is no greater plan in action, no master strategist aiming this green tide with malice. Instead, the Orks only seek violence for the sheer joy that enacting violence brings. With almost psychopathic glee, tides of Orks numbering in the millions will wage war on a planet, laughing raucously as they plunge headlong into shredding gunfire, feeling no empathy or concern for the wellbeing of themselves or their allies. Any wound which does not kill an Ork outright will just make it more belligerent, and even the most serious of wounds can be healed from in a few days. Furthermore, an Ork with teef to spare will take existing kit to the nearest Mek in the hope of having damage repaired, and maybe some kustomising done. But they are far from mindless murder machines as they do believe in something. When a Warboss wants to invade a planet, he calls on fleets of Freebooterz to see off enemy ships and clear the way for the Orks to get down to the surface. Create widget.
