At first, Paloma Faith wanted nothing to do with a Diane Warren song. When first approached by the songwriter with a song she said was written for her, the British singer and actress initially turned the legendary songwriter down. Grateful for taking the call from Warren, Faith remembers her first conversation with the songwriter. Thankfully, Warren persisted and continued pushing the song on Faith. I just know it, and I knew it when I heard Paloma. I knew this song would take her to the next level. She has pain in her voice. I love singers with pain in their voice. Playing the song for Faith on the phone, Warren remembers Faith hanging up on her and immediately emailing her back. Upon hearing it, Faith said she immediately knew the melody and feeling she needed to convey in the song.
