This makes posting guides — and screenshots — a bit tricky. For giant, glowing birds, they can be a bit difficult to spot and hit. However, we do have two quick tips to make it all a little easier. Just be sure to look high and low, and follow the sound if you have surround sound. The Leviathan Axe is, by design, slow and heavy.

Odins ravens the plains

God of War Ragnarok Ravens are spread across the whole game with a good reward if you can find all 48 in total as finding them get good armor from chests in Niflheim. It's a big job though, especially as while some ravens are very easy to find, others are a lot more concealed or can only be found revisiting areas with later abilities. Finding the first raven starts the Eyes of Odin side quest to find them all, but the only help you'll ever get is the squawking noise they make that lets you know one is nearby. Some can be far away, or heard from areas you can't reach yet, so even if you can hear one it doesn't mean you'll find it yet. I've completed the game, found all the Ravens and listed them here roughly in the order you find them as you play through the story. You'll need to search far and wide in six of the Nine Realms — Midgard, Svartalfheim, Alfheim, Vanaheim, Muspelheim, and Helheim - to get all 48 of these green birds. None of these Ravens are difficult to reach once you know their locations. On the South side of Tyr's Temple is an icy alcove you can ride the dog sled into. The Raven is up on a perch at the East side, though it'll sometimes fly around a little. Just south of here you can also start of the quest with the God of War Ragnarok Mystical Heirloom and Troll locations. On the East side of the Lake there are two paths - a higher one to the North and a lower one to the South, leading to some giant metal doors.

To reach this God of War Ragnarok Raven, you need to get to the open area in the north of the Plains.

Just be sure to look high and low, and follow the sound if you have surround sound. The Leviathan Axe is, by design, slow and heavy. This is great for chopping up baddies but not so great for sniping birds as they soar through the sky. Remember where the raven is or bookmark this guide and come back when you have that tool in hand. When you leave the Gateway and enter the map, move left until you reach a small camp. Take it out with your Leviathan Axe. Make your way up to The Watchtower and walk behind it to the deck — the same location where the Draugr Hole is.

In God of War , the Eyes of Odin are always upon you. Some of them are gated behind main story progress, so finding and murdering all 51 of them takes a long time. God of War is full of surprises, and that makes guides particularly tricky to write. We want to help you with the game. Rather than spoil that reason, our tables of contents and a big image in the guide indicating spoilers ahead will tell you when and why you find yourself in that situation — in the least spoilery way possible. Starting here, images necessarily contain spoilers. The links below reflect both of them.

Keep an eye out for a giant archway made of roots. It is only accessible after you have completed the Elven Sanctum Favor. Follow the path you took to find the Raven in the Veiled Passage. From the Goddess Falls, go east and canoe through a cavern. It is only available once you have completed the Favor, Return of the River. Go through the path until you reach the chain at the end. Take the winding north path that leads to the Eastern Barri Woods and as you emerge from the cave into the jungle, look to the north to see a big stone ring hanging from the trees. The Raven is perched on a tree branch just in front of the ring. Climb down and look to your right to find a lore marker. It is inside the hull of a smashed boat that is perched upon a rock near the entrance. Look for it down a hole in the left side of the arena. Defeat the Pale One and the Raven Keeper will reappear. To hit it, head to the next area where you can beach your boat ahead of the Raven, then turn around and lob your axe at the bird on the branch. Another raven is found at the Jarnsmida Pitmines in Svartalfheim. To find the next Raven, look over to the other side of the wall you just climbed up and the Raven will be sitting on the rocks.

You need to find 48 Ravens in total to earn all of the 'Eyes of Odin' Favour rewards - but to find them all, you'll need to get some special equipment by progressing with the main story first.

After bouncing round a few universities, securing a bachelor degree, and entering the video game industry, he's found his new family here at Shacknews as a Guides Editor. This one is easiest to spot from the outcropping near the Nornir chest. It is only available once you have completed the Favor, Return of the River. Stand near the edge of the cliff and aim up. It might also be possible to get this bird from the other direction, when approaching from the south. Only progress further if you have, at an absolute minimum, completed the quest Forging Destiny. Strike it down. From here, you can easily kill the Raven. It is inside the hull of a smashed boat that is perched upon a rock near the entrance. Found in the Forbidden Sands in the middle, just south of the entrance to the Burrows. There will be a raven behind a gate that has a hole at the top.
