New Northside Methodist Academy boys basketball coach Kody Kirchhoff looks at basketball like a game of chess. Kirchhoff, who coached for one season at Emmanuel Christian two years ago, was officially introduced as the coach of the Knights on Wednesday morning at the school. He takes over for Reggie Chapple, who stepped down in late July to move back to his hometown of Cleveland after leading the squad the past two years. Kirchhoff and Chapple were best of friends and played college basketball together at Green Mountain College in Vermont. Kirchhoff actually kept the scorebook for Chapple last season, thus is well familiar with the team.

Course Selection Tracks and Offerings. All students K3 thru 12 th grade will spend each day in class studying God's word. In our elementary classes, we utilize the ABeka curriculum program for most disciplines. Kth grade also have Bob Jones Science, and upper elementary classes use Saxon math. The elementary classes will also enjoy the following enrichments weekly; art, music, computer, library, Spanish, and physical education. The junior high students will continue to be challenged with new teachers and new curriculum. These students will have an in-depth training in core subjects. Seventh graders take an exploratory class where they rotate every nine weeks from music, art, Spanish, and computer. Eighth graders complete their high school computer credit while still in 8th grade.

Chapple coached in North Carolina the last few years with an AAU program, a high school home-school team and a middle school team. Chapple, who has 15 years of coaching experience, replaces Lonnie Cochran, who coached the Knights in their inaugural season in the AHSAA last winter, but left the program to concentrate on a new job with Troy University.
