By oleman March 4, in General Chat. It will bale almost anything. If you are premium hay with alfalfa there tend to be more leaves lost with it. The one I rented a Diesel is not even close enough to be able to run it in the hills. As mentioned, it will bale about anything.

Thanks to everyone for all the information and photo. Going by the manual for a NH it says HP. I use an Oliver Super 88 to pull my and it does well. The S88 is rated at 55HP but the 6 cylinder torque power does make a differance. I tried a Farmall on it which is also rated at 55 HP and it wouldn't handle it as well Hobby farm. You could probably get by with 50, but the smallest I ever ran it with was If you're doing any amount with one, I think at least 60 would be the way to go I agree with Rod, I have a little and works well with a 70 horse tractor. But, when I put the horse tractor on it, things just really work so much better. Better and tighter bales, better ties, just an all around nicer job. We sell tractor parts!

We bought a 06 with bales now it is at it is going to hit at least while we have it. JavaScript is disabled. I tried a Farmall on it which is also rated at 55 HP and it wouldn't handle it as well Hobby farm. Never had the 4 series size, but had several , , size ones. I do have a BR that had a tailgate fire. One thing to do if you get one is to torque all of the bolts holding the bars to the chains. They used to say you could bale railroad ties with those old ones. I can't offer advice on your question, but several others will be along who will be able to offer some good input. Im not opposed to any brand but New Holland and John Deere dealers are the closest to our farm. He pulls out to the pivot and nothing. Never had a chain baler with electronic control, were manual or mechanical "autowrap".
