But nearly alone among those of that age, they have not only survived but conquered: a leaked email from Diamond Comic Distributors revealed them to be, at that time, the third-largest comic book retailer in the United States, trailing only collected edition specialists DCBS and general behemoth Midtown Comics. That may have something to do with the fact that, for MyComicShop. The brainchild of Texas-based fanzine publisher and comic collector Buddy Saunders, the shop that would become MyComicShop.
