All will be one!
Wizards of the Coast has included five new Magic: The Gathering living monuments within the Phyrexia: All Will Be One set called Dominus, showcasing legendary horrors with powerful stats, abilities, and a means to become Indestructible. Formerly known as the Mirrodin, Phyrexia has become a plane that is constantly evolving and growing in the image of the five Praetors who rule it. To showcase this evolution, the design team created a cycle of Dominus, living monuments of Compleated beings that pay tribute to their Praetor while having an unknown purpose on the plane itself. Each Dominus is represented in one of the five MTG colors with a casting cost of two pips in that color, along with mana of any color. The first ability on each Dominus doubles an effect. And the second activated ability contains Phyrexian mana and an action to give the Dominus Indestructible. Mondrak is the White Dominus, supporting token creating synergies.

You stand at the base of the vault, staring up the steaming shaft wall. You can smell the necrogen from here, at the Basilica's summit. Little eddies of it swirl above you, like figures beckoning you up. Movement between the spheres is heavily monitored, but this shaft is far enough on the outer reaches that no one will be watching. At least, no one with a hope of stopping you. You spread your wings, relishing the pull in your shoulders as your body does what it is made for. A few flaps are enough to propel you up into the shaft, splitting the necrogen clouds, leaving a trail in your wake. Nothing challenges you, though a couple skitterlings clinging to the slick walls turn to you with rumbling growls that quickly become pathetic screams as you separate their heads from their bodies with a sweep of your spear. You smell the spill of their fluids as it rains down to the sphere below. Back to where your superior waits for news of your success. You bow your head and say nothing, the marble cold beneath your knees. It is not a question that needs an answer.

When Phyrexia reshaped the surface of Mirrodin, parts of the very land took on a mind of its own. No one knows what the Domini are or whether they think and desire the same way other Phyrexians do. Drivnod grew out of the skeletal, necrogen -drenched architecture of the Dross Pits. He is a grinning, spiked titan who takes pleasure in torturing lesser life forms. He impales his victims on his staff and conducts them like an orchestra in a symphony of agonized screams. At rest, his burnished bones shift and murmur in the wind. His staff is a towering, razor-edged monolith, and the bodies of skitterlings, aspirants - including Belaxis , and a single Phyrexian priest hang from it.
Mirrodin is struggling to maintain any semblance of its identity thanks to the Phyrexians. All Will Be One is all about the corruption and toxicity that the horrific living machines cause as they aim to eliminate the weakness of flesh. These themes come through in the mechanics, the first of which is toxic. Toxic has creatures deal damage as normal, then inflict an amount of poison counters on top of that. Toxic 2, for example, has your creature deal damage, then give the opponent two poison counters. It works well with proliferate, and is a fun way to deal with poison counters. The next mechanic is Corrupted, which is also linked to poison counters. Corrupted helps turn poison counters into something a bit more useful than just trying to finish off your opponent.

All will be one! Since the fall of Mirrodin, New Phyrexia has bloomed into its own biomechanical society. As we return to this deadly plane, we will meet new characters and witness the fate of those unlucky souls who came before. When the Phyrexians invaded Mirrodin, they fell under the influence of the plane's colored suns. The mana from the white sun gave birth to Elesh Norn. She adopted and twisted the societies and beliefs of those she conquered into her Phyrexian faction, the Machine Orthodoxy. She preaches a vision of grand unity where no creature is separated from the other by such pitiful, mortal barriers as skin or flesh. At first, Norn believed she was the divine speaker for Karn, the planeswalking golem who brought Phyrexians to Mirrodin.

Unctus was once a vedalken known as Kiryk. You are my most perfect creation. And as that ecstasy grows, so does a desire. It drives you to your knees. She preaches a vision of grand unity where no creature is separated from the other by such pitiful, mortal barriers as skin or flesh. You catch it, your voice gurgling in your ruined throat. You hear the whistle of air as they narrowly miss you. You are still a long way from a last resort. The elasticity of his face is disgusting. It doesn't look at you. It fades so quickly you are unsure if you truly heard it. Geth laughs again. This time you heft your spear, twisting in midair. Movement between the spheres is heavily monitored, but this shaft is far enough on the outer reaches that no one will be watching.
These structures are living entities created by Phyrexian Aspirants who have been perfected, although the objective of the Dominus remains a mystery.
But neither are you willing to deny it. The traitor's head you held in your hands. It feels like you have been run through, like Belaxis on the spike. Tekuthal emerged from the waters of the Surgical Bay and hovers through the air with unbearable scorn. Finally mended, he emerged with the understanding that Glissa, too, had the honor of joining Phyrexia. You press the spot again. The word barks through the hall, breaking the serenity like a glass window. You don't need to hear the things she is saying to you. Explore Wikis Community Central. The inventor's corpse was unearthed by Sheoldred's troops and woven into the fabric of a new goliath who serves Sheoldred in her war against Elesh Norn. These valuable little troves have made him an inadvertent yet important ally to the Mirran survivors.
