I have set my middle mousebutton, under keybindings, to dismount. As I said, this is the case without addons installed, on a totally clean install. And it should not have anything to do with overlay programs, since it works on some characters, and not others. If it were some overlay program problem, it should affect all chars equally. By the way, I have never had dismount binded anywhere. You will dismount anyways when you start using a skill, no need for a separate button.

Never made a macro assuming there is one for flying, no flying, dragonriding mount, so I use two binds for mounts, Ctrl-F and Ctrl-G. I use a macro that automatically switches between my dragon mount when in the new expansion zones and my regular flying mount when in the older expansion zones.
