Mission to mars omega swatch
Everyone has a story of "the one that got away. For me, it's the Omega Speedmaster Alaska Project.
With all that being said, I did manage to get my hands on a MoonSwatch. The Mission to Mars is one of my favorite MoonSwatches. Only the Mission to the Moon and the Mission to Neptune which sells at an insane 5x premium would be above it on my list. Being a New Yorker, and having access to 3 Swatch stores in close proximity to my office and apartment, you might expect me to have gotten lucky and been able to walk out of the store with a shiny new MoonSwatch on my wrist. Well I tried.

Read through why we prefer certain models over others and let us know if you agree. I might get some flack for not putting the Mission to the Moon first on our MoonSwatch rankings but hear me out. The Mission to Neptune, however, comes in a light blue bioceramic material case which is a proprietary mixture of plastic and ceramic , which is contrasted by the dark blue dial and bezel. The dark blue mixed with the white hands and indices gives the watch a unique, yet not overwhelming, look.

Omega and Swatch and took the watch world by storm in by releasing a collaboration. It came as a total surprise and quickly became one of the most globally talked about products. When I first saw the teaser images, leaks and then the release, I could not have been more excited! It is one of the coolest ideas I have seen in recent years. I was on holiday at the time and fortunate enough to be near a store for release day. However, I did not manage to purchase one at launch like many other disappointed enthusiasts. Since then I have managed to purchase the Mission to Jupiter model that I bought it from a colleague who managed to get his hands on it.

A steel speedy is quite comfortable and well-balanced, and being as light as a feather makes the Moonswatch even better to wear. The Alaska Project has a lot of reds and white including a huge red outer case that can be removed and similar triangular shaped subdial hands though they are black on the Alaska Project. As mentioned, the Mars strap mimics the optional strap that was included with the Alaska Project that watch also came with a bracelet, however. If you're used to wearing steel watches, you'll quickly forget that you even have a watch on especially if you ditch the supplied Velcro strap - more on that later. Being a New Yorker, and having access to 3 Swatch stores in close proximity to my office and apartment, you might expect me to have gotten lucky and been able to walk out of the store with a shiny new MoonSwatch on my wrist. I tried prodding the sales associate for more information about when restocking normally happened but was told it was all random. Having lume on the chronograph hands is a fun touch that is not present on other versions of the Moonswatch. Typically I don't buy homages, as they leave one wanting the real thing even more. Why even tell me I missed out by mere minutes? I think Swatch did a really nice job with the different colorways each corresponding to a different celestial body. Lucia St. All Moonswatch missions include a Velcro strap in a complementary color. On paper, even that price isn't a great value. The store had all of the versions on display, and it was fun to see them all in person. Additionally, it looks cool.
