You can encounter her minthara companion on in the Goblin Camp as she is one of three leaders. Players can join her and help her slather the settlement and Druids or kill her if they decide to side with Halsin, minthara companion. If she lives, she can eventually join in Act 2 as a powerful Paladin companion.

One of the most interesting things about Baldur's Gate 3 is the absolute freedom of choice that it gives players - and the consequences that follow each and every choice. Building your dream party can take a little effort, and one of the most popular but hard to obtain party members is Minthara. Before the Patch 5 update, getting her on your side either required an entirely Chaotic Evil run of the game or a convoluted mess involving Polymorph abilities. Thankfully, it's now a lot easier to find and recruit Minthara without the need for utter carnage. The steps for this recruitment are still somewhat fiddly, though, so make sure you follow the steps given exactly.

The evil Drow Paladin was previously only recruitable if players raided the Emerald Grove in Act One, effectively locking out good-aligned characters from experiencing her story. Before Patch 5, good-aligned players had to rely on workarounds to recruit Minthara. It was briefly possible to recruit Halsin and Minthara together , but this was later patched out. Players quickly resorted to using mods, or an extraordinarily technical loophole that involved using Polymorph to transform her into a sheep. This option can be toggled on under the Passives tab on your hotbar. On entering Moonrise Towers for the first time, a cutscene will play where Minthara is judged and imprisoned by Ketheric Thorm. She can then be spoken to and recruited to the party. The Gauntlet contains a point of no return, locking you out of certain side quests if not completed and potentially killing any prisoners locked up in Moonrise Towers. However, good characters might also want to consider trying to recruit her. As an evil character, Minthara is rather different from your other party members. As the only Drow companion in the game, she brings a unique perspective that no one else except a Drow Tav or Dark Urge has. Minthara is a potential companion that most players will not recruit due to the complexity, or cruelty, required to get her to join your party. As a Drow Paladin, however, she can make a valuable ally. Combining both melee prowess and healing abilities earned from her deity, she can tank hits while keeping herself and your party — those that stick around after you recruit her, that is — alive. Find Minthara planning to attack Druid Grove here and tell her the location of Druid Grove, gaining her trust and betraying the Druids and Tieflings there. After slaughtering everyone at Emerald Grove, you have the option to recruit Minthara to your party after your next long rest. Recruiting Minthara causes Wyll and Karlach to refuse to join your party, and you cannot recruit Halsin at all.

Patch 5 added a new — and very difficult — method to recruit the most missed party member in the game. Now we can recruit Minthara and stay good. Normally, the only way to recruit the evil cultist Minthara is by helping her raid the Emerald Grove.

Act 2 attacking Isolbel as Durge inside the Inn gets Minthara approval down 5 pts. Gameplay is turn-based and can be played co-operatively online or tackled alone in a single-player campaign with NPC allies.

Minthara Baenre is a recruitable companion with the Noble background. Ruthless in service of the Absolute , she commands a camp of goblins planning an attack on the Druid Grove in the name of their god. Initially hostile, she can be encountered during Act 2 and saved from execution, and can potentially join the party as well as be romanced by characters of any gender.

In the Early Access , trying for her fears and succeeding will lead to undesirable results, but it is not certain currently if this remains to be the case in the full game. The same result will come from siding with her first and successfully initiating an intimate night with her and then failing to convince her of your shared affiliation with the Absolute later on.
