The Tradewinds to Success program is a unique initiative that supports individuals from Indigenous communities in accessing education and professional training in millwrighting. The program provides a comprehensive education and training experience for students, including job readiness skills, training in workplace safety, and hands-on apprenticeship opportunities. The program is designed to empower and support students in building successful careers in the millwright trade, a highly specialized field. These students have demonstrated their commitment to learning and have shown exceptional potential in the millwright trade. The dedication and hard work of the graduates has been recognized by Alberta Millwrights Local and we are confident that they will bring value back to their communities. We have been a steadfast supporter of the Tradewinds to Success program, mentoring more than one hundred students. Alberta Millwrights Local in conjunction with the Millwright Regional Council understands the importance of investing in education and cultivating a skilled and diverse workforce for employment in the millwright trade. Our dedication to the success of the graduates is evident, and we believe in the potential of every student to apply their unique perspectives and experiences to the industry. We are committed to providing mentorship and training opportunities for students that allow them to develop the necessary skills and the knowledge to excel which, in turn empowers and supports marginalized members from Indigenous communities to find professional success in the millwright trade.
