Help Center Help Center. Text properties control the appearance and behavior of a Text object. By changing property values, matlab text, you can modify certain aspects of the text.
Models created with the toolbox can be used in applications such as sentiment analysis, predictive maintenance, and topic modeling. Text Analytics Toolbox includes tools for processing raw text from sources such as equipment logs, news feeds, surveys, operator reports, and social media. You can extract text from popular file formats, preprocess raw text, extract individual words, convert text into numerical representations, and build statistical models. Using machine learning techniques such as LSA, LDA, and word embeddings, you can find clusters and create features from high-dimensional text datasets. Features created with Text Analytics Toolbox can be combined with features from other data sources to build machine learning models that take advantage of textual, numeric, and other types of data. Visualize text data and models using word clouds and text scatter plots. Choose a web site to get translated content where available and see local events and offers.

Help Center Help Center. This example shows how to add text to a chart, control the text position and size, and create multiline text. Add text next to a particular data point using the text function. The first two input arguments to the text function specify the position. The third argument specifies the text. By default, text supports a subset of TeX markup. By default, the specified data point is to the left of the text. Align the data point to the right of the text by specifying the HorizontalAlignment property as 'right'. Use an arrow pointing to the right instead of to the left. Specify the font size for text by setting the FontSize property as a name-value pair argument to the text function. You can use a similar approach to change the font size when using the title , xlabel , ylabel , or legend functions. Alternatively, starting in Ra, you can change the font size of the axes text by using the fontsize function. The text function creates a Text object. Text objects have properties that you can use to customize the appearance of the text, such as the HorizontalAlignment or FontSize. Use name-value pairs in the text command, such as 'FontSize',
Data Types: double single int8 int16 int32 int64 uint8 uint16 uint32 uint You have a modified version of this example. Text interpreter, specified as one of these values: 'tex' — Interpret characters using a subset of TeX markup, matlab text.
Help Center Help Center. You can store text in string arrays. A typical use for character arrays is to store pieces of text as character vectors. You can store any 1-by- n sequence of characters as a string, using the string data type. Enclose text in double quotes to create a string. Though the text "Hello, world" is 12 characters long, str itself is a 1-by-1 string, or string scalar. You can use a string scalar to specify a file name, plot label, or any other piece of textual information.
You can set and query graphics object properties using the property editor or the set and get commands. To change the default value of properties see Setting Default Property Values. Text Property Descriptions This section lists property names along with the types of values each accepts. Color of text extent rectangle. This property enables you define a color for the rectangle that encloses the text Extent. For example, the following code creates a text object that labels a plot and sets the background color to light green. Callback routine interruption. If there is a callback routine executing, subsequently invoked callback routines always attempt to interrupt it. If the Interruptible property of the object whose callback is executing is set to on the default , then interruption occurs at the next point where the event queue is processed.

This table lists the supported special characters for the 'tex' interpreter. HitTest property set to 'on'. Values: [x, y, z] coordinates Default: [] empty matrix. Superscripts and subscripts are an exception because they modify only the next character or the characters within the curly braces. LineStyle — Line style of box outline '-' default '--' ':' '-. FontAngle — Character slant 'normal' default 'italic'. Help Center Help Center. Apply a template style to a Text object either as the second argument in a Text object constructor or by setting the StyleName property to a template style. Values: light , normal , demi , bold Default: normal. When you call the text function, set the Interpreter property to 'latex'. The ColorMode property indicates whether the color has been set manually by you or automatically. A value of 'on' is equivalent to true, and 'off' is equivalent to false. You can use a similar approach to include variable values with the title , xlabel , ylabel , or legend functions.
