I attribute this to the fact that my mother was the ultimate Martha Stewart type growing up and would host several theme parties each year. If you follow this blog, you know that there are a bunch of kid-focused venues that we love in the area. When it comes to parties though, I prefer to have them at home for now. I bought the Mario balloons at Party City the day before the party and tied a few to our lamp post out front to greet people, and then a few inside and in the back yard.
