I reloaded several saves and attacked Marcurio to see if he was able to summon an atronach or some sort, but he never did, but I did this prior to giving him the spell reduction gear maybe his mana was too low to even summon anything? I heard that followers cap when you're level 50 I'm level 81, so it's more than enough. I opened the console, clicked on him and typed disable then enable to reset his stats to the best possible and oddly enough his conjuration level read only I would really like to make Marcurio a blades member, and probably will still, but I would just like to know if he even uses conjuration, so I can provide him the appropriate gear. If you bring up the console menu, click on your follower, and then type "getavinfo magicka" in the console right after he uses some spells, would'nt you be able to see his current mana state? Maybe it seems like the followers have an endless pool of mana because they're using cheap spells lol?

I love Marcurio, he and Erandur are my favorite followers, but I haven't really ever used Marcurio, sometimes I just marry him, because of his chain lightning problem. Are there any benefits for choosing him that makes his chain lightning worth it? I absolutely adore Marcurio. I have used him quite abit. He is pretty powerful, he's gotten me out of several sticky spots, is pretty good about staying out of the way and he is also a talker. I happen to like a talker, though lots of people don't. His chain lightening never really bothered me.

I've been trying to get Erik the Slayer and Marcurio to be my stewards for Heljarchen Hall and Windstad Manor respectively for a while now but nothing has worked so far, i even tried following what was said in this post but still no results. If you use magic as a primary combat tactic, then Marcurio may not be the best choice, since Shock affects magic, but otherwise I think he's one of the better followers.
