Earlier that same week, Indian Navy warship INS Sumitra had thwarted a piracy attempt targeting another Iranian-flagged fishing vessel, Al Naeemi, which had been sailing off the eastern coast of Somalia. The patrol vessel rescued Al Naeemi's crew comprising 19 Pakistani nationals, as per the maritime force's statement.
