If I remember correctly, after you give him te chip and he uses it to show you an example of its power, he gives it back to you so you can go to his old bunker to do the switch for all of the Securitrons. Of course, at this point you can just take the chip back and be on your way. He will be none the wiser. Giving House the Plat. The House Always Wins is a main quest divided into eight parts, given by Mr. House in Lucky 38 's penthouse. This is the first in a series of eight quests which leads to one of the many Fallout: New Vegas endings. House tasks the Courier with retrieving the platinum chip from Benny so he can upgrade the securitrons on the Strip with the Mk II operating system. For part two of the quest, the Courier must travel to Cottonwood Cove and take a raft to the Fort , where Mr. House's secure bunker is located. If one has already collected the platinum chip, Mr. House will return it to them; if not, the player character will need to get it back from Benny when they get there. House asks the player character to deal with the Omertas for him.

Only the odd Securitron, controlled by Mr. Mr House then struck a deal with the three largest tribes, providing them with clothes, tools and supplies from stockpiles in the Lucky 38 in return for renovating the city and preparing for the arrival of the NCR.
