Created in the heart of the old Bitola bazaar in , taking the custom of welcoming neighbors with Turkish delight and coffee as a light motif for a meeting between people, cultures and their music that were mixed in a special consular amalgam, it faithfully celebrates the tradition , the cultural heritage and the bazaar as part of our collective memory, identity and future. The festival for the past 16 years presents over 80 groups and ensembles from over 25 countries, and of course the best ethnic musicians from Macedonia. The lokum music consists of Greek, Turkish, and German musicians, which gives a similar atmosphere to the music life in Istanbul a century ago.
