Little lotus cafe
Little Lotus Cafe. My favourite hot cross buns in Hobart are from Jackman and McRoss - no mixed peel sadly why does everyone hate it? I love it! I had a post almost fully written just before Easter for you but then Squarespace logged me out while writing it and…that was that, little lotus cafe, it was all gone.
This cafe is a little escape from the hustle and bustle of the city- the perfect place to come to refuel and relax. A big emphasis is placed on creating vegetarian and vegan meals. They source healthy and sustainable ingredients which they use to create delicious meals with love. We think this calming atmosphere is thanks to the yoga studio space upstairs and spiritual store, Padmalight, located next door, that give the space a lovely incense smell. You do feel as though you are about to begin a yoga class! As you walk through the busyness of Centerpoint, out the doors and along Victoria Street, you are welcomed by a sea of calm as you walk through the Little Lotus doors.

Little lotus cafe
Little Lotus Cafe is a warm and friendly eatery located in the heart of Hobart. Offering a creative plant-based menu and sourcing organic and local produce where possible. The focus here is on local, organic and ethical food. Bonus, it is yummy and you leave feeling full, but not heavy! The team not only makes most things from scratch onsite, they also invest in some of the best ingredients. We asked the pair what their favourite dishes on the menu are. It is made with almond cheese too, so has a real nutty flavour.

Tom, of course, was thrilled that I wanted to watch these movies and dissect them from these particular angles! Little Lotus Cafe. Merry Berries Smoothie : bursting with berry flavour, this smoothie is deliciously sweet, and nourishing. And I love that they have Tasmanian animals on them! My favourite hot cross buns in Hobart are from Jackman and McRoss - no mixed peel sadly why does everyone hate it? I picked another kilo or so of figs, which have been roasted and frozen for winter porridge, but there are still a handful of them ripening on the branches. My sisters and I watched it on Good Friday, eating our fish fingers and chips. I had a post almost fully written just before Easter for you but then Squarespace logged me out while writing it and…that was that, it was all gone. Who else has watched it?! I adore it. Topped with hemp seeds for extra nourishment. I so wish I could go!

Not normally my preferred genre but having listened to Ashley talk about it on her podcast for the last few months, I was very excited and intrigued to read it. There are also lots of options for gluten free as well. It was divine. I love Shepard avocado season! I went to see Tracy and Jen at Red Parka in town, who sell delightful, colourful, warm and ethically-made bamboo socks. Buy My Book. Banana Power Puff Smoothie : the delicious flavours of banana and cinnamon made this smoothie refreshing and nourishing. Such a moreish dish. It also arrived within a week of ordering and I got a lovely personal email from the director of the company to thank me for my order. Film is his thing. I borrowed this vegan cookbook from the library - I love how a local author can be easily identified by the map of Tassie sticker on the spine! My sisters and I watched it on Good Friday, eating our fish fingers and chips. So we watched that for our Good Friday movie and both laughed and cried, as usual! So next time you are in the Hobart, make sure you visit Little Lotus Cafe.
