The owl tells us that our next destination is up north in the Goponga Swamp. Walk left two screens and then up a screen to return to Mabe Village. Our quest to save BowWow takes us through the Mysterious Forest again, so head left a screen and up two screens to enter the Woods. From the entrance of the forest, head up two screens, then right two screens, up two screens, and right two screens to exit the Forest. Walk one screen to the right and you can talk to the strange owl statue here to find out some more cryptic information in regards to the Wind Fish. The first room has a Moblin equipped with a sword and shield.

Bottle Grotto takes a bit of work to get to. After you complete Tail Cave, return to Mabe Village. Jump over the holes to the north and head up. When you reach the sign for Tal Tal Heights, turn right. The Moblins are in the cave just a little to the right of that sign. Head inside and fight your way through the three rooms of various Moblins to retrieve BowWow. Instead, head back into the Mysterious Forest. Get to the top left corner where you can exit toward the north. Turn right at the sign and keep heading right until you hit the swamp. Keep your shield up and let BowWow do most of the attacking.

Ignore the chest in the first room - you cannot get to it just yet - and head north to a dark room with a spark enemy circling the outside. To progress, you need to equip and use Magic Powder on the two central torches, which opens the door on the right. If you're out of Magic Powder, then kill some enemies or check out the Trendy Game back in Mabe Village, where it's a possible reward. Head through the door east, kill the two skeletons and pick up the Small Key that drops in their wake. Head east again to come to a room with a spark and a crystal.

Getting the boss key in this dungeon is a mini puzzle in itself that can easily be missed. The boss key is found inside of this room in the dungeon. You need move the tiles and free the rabbit creature first. Toss a jug at him and kill him when he is free.

Head east and equip a shield to repel the Spiked Beetle.
