Hooni , a suicidal year-old boy. To say Hooni's had a rough go at life would be an understatement. And if that wasn't enough, he's a prime target for bullies at school. With no parents, no income, no hope for the future, and very little else besides other than a cheap little apartment that even he can't afford , Hooni believes the only thing that will save himself from this messed up life is suicide. Despite his many attempts however, he has yet to find a satisfactory way of killing himself—but ever since his landlady's outgoing son Soorim and type-A classmate Jaehoon have taken an interest in him, he finds those efforts taking up less and less of his time. Written and illustrated by Park Gee, Suicide Boy can be found on the Lezhin Comics website original Korean version here —both require registration to view due to explicit content. The comic is currently on hiatus, awaiting its third and final volumen.

Suicide Boy is a Korean webcomic also known as manhwa created by Park Gee. The manwha follows the history of Lee Hoon, a korean highschool student who wants to kill himself failing in the process, while slowly search a reason to live accompanied by his friends, Jeong Soorim and Kim Jaehoon. The series currently have 2 volumes of 54 and 51 chapters respectively, two spin-offs about two secondary characters, Jung Sana and Jeong Haarim Suicide Boy 2. Due to the high medical costs of his mother's hospital stay before her death, as well as the gambling debt accrued by his abusive father, Hooni is left with crippling debt that leaves him impoverished. This combined with the constant, severe bullying he faces at school has given him extremely low self-esteem. Due to the seemingly endless difficulties he faces, Hooni's only goal in life is to kill himself. This, however, proves more difficult than he thought as he cannot find a satisfactory, pain-free method of doing so.

Hooni has messy black hair and grey eyes with eye bags underneath. He has a white gauze on his right cheek and a bandage on his left. At home, he usually wears a white T-shirt, black shorts, and black knee-high socks. At school, his uniform varies depending on the season. During spring, he wears a white oxford shirt with a taupe brown vest and black pants. During summer, he wears a short-sleeved white dress shirt with a black tie and black pants. Both of his uniforms feature a rectangular yellow patch on the left side of his chest. He seldom wears his gym uniform, which is a black and yellow half-sleeved baseball tee with black shorts.

Always Someone Better : Jaehoon is frustrated to find out Soorim has perfect grades and is the best of his class and school while he has almost perfect grades and is the 2nd best of his grade and close to being of the first ten spots in the school.
