Kindle fire not charging
Lisa asked a question, kindle fire not charging. I first bought the child's fire tablet and around 10 months, it began having charging issues then died completely. We are all very careful, I monitor my child while using it and so I don't understand what's happening.
Misdeminal asked a question. Please can someone help. My childs Fire 10HD Tablet wont charge. And now with the charger in, the tablet won't switch on because the battery is flat. I can't afford to buy a new one. Can anyone help to find a fix please Amanda S.

Unfortunately, many models of the Kindle Fire have a known consistent and persistent design problem that Amazon seems to have had difficulty in shaking. Specifically, the Fires have a tendency for their chargers to go bad in one way or another, so that the devices while perfectly functional in all software and most physical aspects have a hard time taking a charge. Second, there can be a problem with the battery itself. Third, there can be problems with the charging adapter or cable. Lastly, there might be a problem with the physical charging port on the tablet. Instead of using the charger, use the cable to connect to a computer or other USB power source and see if your Fire will charge from that. If it will, then the problem was the charger. Most Kindle Fires expect 5 volts at 1. The same can be true if you are connecting the USB cable directly to a computer or other USB charging port; those ports can deliver anything from 0. If the charging adapter is the problem, new, official, ones are relatively inexpensive and can be easily acquired directly from Amazon. Above, we tested the charging block.
Love My Fire. Fire Tablet.
The Amazon Fire is a sturdy and inexpensive tablet for those on a budget. Unfortunately, many of the models suffer from a consistent design flaw. The chargers for these tablets have a tendency of going bad, leaving your otherwise functional tablet, starved of power. To say that this is frustrating would be an understatement. There are plenty of troubleshooting methods to get your Fire fully charged and ready to go. The problem can lie in one of four areas: faulty software, the battery, the charging adapter including the cable , and the charging port itself.
When in good working condition, a Kindle battery should provide more than 24 hours of use and will last in standby mode for weeks. If you fully charge your Kindle once or twice a week, you'll likely never have to deal with a drained battery. That said, there are times when your Kindle won't charge after a depleted battery. In most cases, you can bring it back to life with relative ease. Here's how. If your Kindle is displaying a critical battery message or the drained battery icon, or if it's so dead its screen won't display anything at all, connect it to a power outlet and let it charge for at least half an hour before you test the device again. If the Kindle still won't charge, then you should first test the power cable in another device and try plugging something else into the outlet to make sure the issue isn't with either of those.

So use your Fire untethered; if the charge gets low, turn it off and plug it in and go do something else. The good news is that there are a few things you can try to fix the problem and - hopefully - get your tablet up and running again. You might just need to refresh it. You can either use the spare one you tested, or buy a new one just for your tablet. If it moves around, it may be loose. It may not look pretty and won't last forever, but it's a handy short-term fix if you're not yet ready to invest in a new Fire tablet. There are a ton of different ones out there. Insert the power adapter into a power outlet.
Get your Kindle Fire up and running again. If your Amazon Fire tablet doesn't turn on or charge, don't toss it just yet.
Your battery is likely the source of the problem. Specifically, very cheap, low-quality cables may be sloppily sized so that while they will make a connection, they are also stretching out the receptor port or bending pins inside it. Even if you do not understand what led to the tablet's inability to charge properly, sometimes the issue can still be resolved by simply rebooting your Kindle Fire. Yes No. Lisa asked a question.
