After the school day was over Akane became annoyed with Arale as she followed her after school to where she met up with her cousins Taro and Peasuke. Arale quickly gained Akane's respect kimidori, along with Taro and Kimidori, accepted Arale when they saw Arale's kimidori, and eventually, kimidori, she became Arale's best friend, kimidori.

Slump series. She is Arale Norimaki 's trouble-making "bad-girl" friend as well as her best friend and later Tsukutsun Tsun 's girlfriend. In the Harmony Gold Dub , her name is Sandy. Akane can be described as a tomboy. Unlike her nice and honest older sister Aoi , Akane is rebellious and breaks rules for fun. She finds fun in pulling pranks on many of the residents of Penguin Village, especially Senbei Norimaki. She usually gets bad grades in school, however, Akane has proven to be very sensible, smart, and cunning. When making plans with her friends, she usually has good ideas that can fool most of the people in the village. Sometimes it gets to the point that she feels that others around her are too dimwitted. In the first volumes of the manga it was shown that Akane also had a rather strong taste for alcoholic beverages, reaching the point where she even carried liquor in her canteen to drink at school, which has led to her being punished in more than one occasion, also missing one of the time travels with Arale and Senbei in the chapter The Mysterious Egg due to having a hangover, however this feature seems to have diminished with the passage of the chapters. This is a list of the characters featured in the Haruhi Suzumiya franchise, written by Nagaru Tanigawa and illustrated by Noizi Ito , which contains a multitude of other secondary, and minor characters who are introduced throughout the course of the series. The name derives from the last names of the members: Enomoto, Nakanishi, Okajima, and Zaizen. During the high school festival Enomoto lead singer and guitarist has tonsillitis and Nakanishi guitar suffers a sprained wrist, so Haruhi and Yuki fill in for the missing members.
