Meanwhile, Joker and his goons are set to deliver a large bomb to the mysterious organization the Clown Prince of Crime has been in contact with. It's only upon delivery of the bomb that Joker realizes who he's been working for this whole time: The Red Skull.

The Marvel universe hosts a plethora of superheroes and supervillains, all with their own moral codes and reasons for becoming who they are. He sees potential in American capitalism and finds his way to Washington D. C, where he gains control over the Commissions on Superhuman Activities, a government-made authority that monitors and regulates the activities of superheroes. He uses his power and money to finance several evil organizations, such as the Watchdogs, a right-wing terrorist group that went up against Captain America AKA Steve Rogers multiple times. During his attempts to tarnish the name of Captain America he murders his right-hand man in front of Rogers and tells him that he is the Red Skull. Rogers doesn't believe him, but the Red Skull's true appearance is revealed when he accidentally inhales some of his own poison and his signature look comes to light. He survives the poison and goes on to mastermind conflicts and conspiracies. Later Magneto, a holocaust survivor seeking revenge, confronts Red Skull for his involvement in Hitler's regime. The fight leaves the former Nazi buried alive and forced to consider the error of his ways.
