Maybe she has to -- at just 27, she's not only the youngest sports anchor in this market, she is also expected to cover a wide breadth of topics with just two colleagues. But the Illinois native and Marquette graduate eats, sleeps and breathes the "youthful exuberance" of sports. Whether Lada is training for a triathlon or working on a feature with a local angle, she takes her job very seriously. Lada, who is expecting her first child in the spring, approaches her job with humility. She also feels that she has plenty of room to grow in Milwaukee television. We caught up with her this summer in this latest Milwaukee Talks.

Jen Lada was born on 14 January in Chicago, Illinois. She worked at Comcast as a reporter and anchor for over two years, where she reported for the Bears and White Spox. Eventually, in , Lada joined ESPN, where she began making television and radio appearances as both anchor and reporter. Her winning performance was about the South Carolina quarterback Ryan Hilinski and the tragic loss of his brother Tyler which influenced his life both on and off the field. In addition, her work received widespread acclaim for its ability to assist people suffering from mental illnesses. They announced their first pregnancy in late , and she gave birth to their daughter Layla in February
