Jaybird has been at the top of the Bluetooth earbuds market basically since the product category was a thing. When the Jaybird X4 buds were first released, we came away fairly impressed. Then almost immediately after the company came out with the Jaybird Tarah earbuds, which provided most of the good things we liked about the X4 at a cheaper price. But how did they hold up over time? So what are the differences? Where the X4 seems more sleek and modern, the Tarah comes across almost whimsical. Even the charging cradle that comes with the Tarah looks more fun compared to the utilitarian design of the one that came with the Jaybird X4. The only other difference physically I can find is the shape of the earbud housings and the ear tip nozzles. The Tarah even has what was arguably the standout feature in the Jaybird X4 which was the IPX7 water-resistance rating. Or with the memory foam earbuds or any of the other ear tips. Where the Jaybird X4 allows you to mix and match ear tips and ear wings, the Tarah comes with just three hybrid tips S, M, L. As far as I can tell, these are just as good as the X4.

With that being said, they are good in the gym because they don't move around or pop out while I'm working out, jaybird tarah. However, the thing that really bumped up my review these bad boys to a five star is the customer service.

The Jaybird Tarah Pro are great wireless sports in-ears that are fairly versatile for everyday casual use. They are an upgraded version of the regular Tarah model with better battery life, lower latency, slightly better sound quality, and new magnetic earbuds. Jaybird kept the same overall design of the Tarah, meaning the Pro version is also very portable and breathable for sports. On the upside, they have an amazing wireless range and isolate a good amount of ambient noise. Decent for mixed usage. The Tarah Pro have good sound quality for in-ears and are fairly comfortable thanks to their earbud-like design. They have decent noise isolation performance and barely leak, making them a good option for commuting and at the office. However, these are great sports-oriented headphones that have a stable and breathable design. Decent for neutral listening.
