This is a beautiful, quaint little spot that is much larger than it initially appears! We stopped in after strolling for a late lunch and they accommodated our seating preference by a front window to people watch. The food was incredible and decently priced, the The atrium was absolutely beautiful we requested to be seated there first but it was full, for good reason! The authenticity, quality and pace of our meal was stellar. A great recommendation from a well-traveled family member and a great find! Great ambience and excellent food!

San Marzano tomato sauce, home-made Mozzarella. Fresh basil. Cherry peppers stuffed with prosciutto, soppresata, provolone, garlic and breadcrumbs in olive oil. Fresh mozzarella, proscuitto, sopperssata, grana padana, olives, roasted pepper and marinated zucchini. Grilled Tuscan bread topped with avocado, red onion, roasted chili peppers, Gorgonzola and balsamic glaze. Our signature single meatball, stuffed with mozzarella, served in our rich tomato sauce, and topped with ricotta cheese and parmigiano. Anchovy sauce: white wine, shallots, capers, butter and fresh lemon juice. Thin cut eggplant stuffed with ricotta topped with tomato sauce and baked to perfection 3pc. Marinated shrimp, lightly fried in Wondra flour, sprinkled with lemon and vinegar. White mushrooms stuffed with roasted vegetables, pecorino, bread crumbs and topped with Asiago cheese.

The recipes are also family favorites that have been handed down for generations and are rich in Esposito family history. The menu at Il Cortile is extensive, but certainly not overwhelming. There are also delicious vegetarian options, so always something to suit everyone in your party! In fact, there's even a signed photo of James Gandolfini hanging above his favorite table in the rear of the Garden Room at Il Cortile. For our recent visit, we sampled several dishes and each one of them was both expertly prepared and served. Our waiter Angelo was extremely helpful in guiding us through the menu choices and he was also very adept at explaining the details about each of the dishes we ordered. For starters we sampled the Hot Antipasto Salad.
